Bro. Tyler grew up in Stroud, OK, where he grew up in a great home and learned by example what it meant to follow Jesus wholeheartedly from his parents. Even though Tyler was raised in church and a Christian home he did not trust Christ fully as Savior until he was 21 years old. After giving Jesus his life, Tyler felt Gods call on his life to preach the Gospel immediately and has been doing so faithfully ever since. Having served in ministry as a youth minister, pastor, and church planter for the past 16 years, Tyler is thrilled to be serving now as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Blair, OK. Tyler also enjoyed a 20 year rodeo career as a rodeo bullfighter, he's very thankful for the places it took him and the people it introduced him to. Tyler's had the honor to be selected to protect bullriders at many association finals and was named the 2015 American Rodeo Cowboys Association Bullfighter of the Year. He's also enjoyed his time working in the fire service for the Volunteer Fire Department as Chaplain/Firefighter and was named the 2017 Firefighter of the Year by the Olive Volunteer Fire Department. Tyler is very thankful for the lessons on how to serve others the Lord has allowed him to learn from both vocations. Although he is grateful for every experience God has allowed him to have, his passion is to preach the gospel and see people come to know Christ as Savior like he has. Next to Jesus the greatest gift Tyler has been given is his beautiful wife Crystal who is his best friend and who he loves with his whole heart. They have 3 great kids: Kanin, Sadie, and Cooper who make life for them so much fun.
